OEM Classic Car Upholstery1967 Chevy Impala Seats
The owner asked me to make them look like the Impala's original seats.
(The lighting played some tricks with the color in the after photo, but it was the same black OEM material.)
They looked really great installed in the car, but I forgot to take a picture then. ___________________________________________________________
Custom Car Interiors1967 Chevrolet Biscayne
This custom carpet job was attached with Velcro instead of traditional adhesive, so the car's owner could access the aluminum work where the rear end of the car was tubbed.
I also upholstered the door panels, padded the roll bar, repaired the dashboard, and dyed the headliner from white to black in this Biscayne.
The bulges on the tubbed fenderwell are the result of using Velcro instead of traditional trimmers adhesive, as the adhesive would have held the carpet flat against the aluminum work.
This custom race car interior was a fun project.
It was the first time I ever dyed a headliner.
It was my first dash repair.
It was also the first time I ever installed carpet in a tubbed interior while balancing in and on a roll cage, which I'm sure must have looked pretty hilarious to anyone watching that acrobatic feat.
Custom Car Upholstery1928 T-Bucket Replica This custom car interior project was delivered to me exactly as you see it below, with directions to make it similar to a purchased t-bucket interior kit, but also completely unique to this car.
It was a lot of fun and an interesting challenge to create the upholstery for this t-bucket replica.
- This is the car's interior the day it was dropped off for me to work on.
Custom Vintage Car Upholstery1936 Ford Cabriolet Convertible Custom This Cabriolet was dropped off to me just as you see it below.
A pair of absolutely shredded, blue Toyota bucket seats were dropped off separately.
I spent a LOT of time cutting strips to make all those one inch white roll and pleat panels and seat insets for this custom car upholstery job.my blog's RSS feed so you will be notified with updates.
